This page sets out the material terms of Zedtreeo’s free 5-day trial. We disclose these terms before you sign up so that your consent to engage is informed and unambiguous, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Negative Option Rule (16 CFR Part 425) and FTC Act §5 standards on truthful representation. Equivalent disclosure standards in other jurisdictions (CAP/BCAP Code in the UK; Australian Consumer Law ss 18, 29; EU UCPD 2005/29/EC) are also addressed by the terms below.
The free trial provides up to five (5) consecutive working days of dedicated work from a pre-vetted Zedtreeo professional matched to your role and requirements. During the trial:
The trial is free. Zedtreeo does not charge you for the trial period itself, and we do not require you to provide credit card or other billing information to begin the trial. You will not be charged simply for completing or extending the trial period.
Payment is required only if and when you affirmatively decide to continue the engagement after the trial. Continuation requires your express written agreement to a separate engagement order or statement of work that sets out the rate (starting from $5/hour), the role, the agreed working hours, and the billing cycle. Until you sign that order, no charges are incurred and no payment is due.
The free trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription. Zedtreeo does not enroll you in any recurring billing plan when the trial ends. If you take no action after day five, the trial simply concludes and no charges of any kind are applied to you.
In FTC Negative Option Rule terms: there is no “negative option feature” in the trial structure. Your inaction will not cause you to be billed.
You may end the trial at any time, for any reason, with no penalty and no payment owed. To end the trial:
We confirm receipt of trial-end requests within one business day. No retention call, no “winback” flow, and no cancellation friction is permitted in our process.
If the matched professional is not the right fit during the trial, you can request a replacement at no charge. Replacement candidates are typically presented within 48–72 hours, and a fresh trial period begins for the replacement so you can evaluate the new match from day one.
If you choose to continue, you and Zedtreeo execute an engagement order that specifies:
All engagements are month-to-month unless you separately agree in writing to a longer term. There is no automatic annual renewal and no minimum-term lock-in by default.
You can end an active engagement at any time by giving written notice to contact@zedtreeo.com or to your account contact. Standard notice is fourteen (14) calendar days, during which the professional continues to work and is invoiced at the normal rate for hours actually worked. No early-termination fees apply.
If you wish to terminate immediately and skip the notice period, you may do so by paying the equivalent of the notice-period hours already scheduled for that two-week window. We disclose this up-front so you can plan around it.
Because the trial is free, no refund is necessary or owed for the trial itself. For paid hours after the trial, our refund policy is available in our Terms of Service.
Zedtreeo is a remote staffing service, not a subscription product. We do not store payment cards on file unless you specifically opt in to autopay during a paid engagement. We do not initiate charges without an active engagement order and an invoice.
